Policy - Staff IT Hardware

Each staff member have the following standard IT equipment


Laptop and Desktop Computers
  1. Desktops will be available in all HQ Offices
  2. Each employee will be issued an appropriate laptop for use while traveling and working remotely
The specifications of the laptop and desktop will be standardized based on the current organizational requirements and technology standards.
Monitors
  1. Two monitors will be provided for office use
  2. One monitor will be provided for remote use 
Keyboard and Mouse
  1. One set of keyboard and mouse for office use
  2. One set of keyboard and mouse of remote use
Staff members may select their preferred keyboard and mouse from a pre selected variety of options including standard setups and ergonomic options.
Speaker Phones and Cameras
  1. One Jabra Speaker phone and Logitech webcam for office use
  2. One Jabra Speaker phone and Logitech webcam for remote use

 

Request for Specialized IT Hardware
Staff members who require specialized IT hardware for specific job functions must submit a request detailing the need and justification for the equipment. This request should sent to help@btaa.org for review  and approval by the IT Team.

IT Hardware Refresh Cycle
  1. Laptops will be replaced every three years
  2. Desktops will be replaced every four years
